Management Relations

Dennis Burns has over 29 years as a seasoned executive with experience in both the financial services and in the not-for-profit sector.  Business experience is focused on the financial sectors which includes investment, corporate and institutional wealth, with growing assets under his management from under 20 million dollars to over 80 million dollars.

NGO expertise is in the development of strategic relations, project team leadership/program implementation, board management accountability, governance and community relations.

Dennis Burns has held many elected, appointed and volunteer community positions including being the Executive Director, Calgary Children’s Milk Fund – Calgary Centre for Non-Profit Management, responsible for the fund development initiative and managed the merger succession of the Milk Fund with the City Food Bank.

As the Executive Director – Calgary Stampede Foundation, developed and coordinated initial strategic planning and training program to amplify positive social impacts.

The meaningful community involvement of Dennis includes the United Way of Calgary, Cause Canada, Mustard Seed, various faith ministries and active participation in the Arts and Educational communities.
