International and Community Development Specialist

Planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating international development projects is expensive in time and dollars.  If your employees and stakeholders do not have the knowledge and skills to do the work, then you have wasted time and resources. I can assist you and your stakeholders in all these areas, based on over 35 years of project and program experience working with marginalized groups in Canada, Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America.  My background includes:

    • A wide range of sector experience  in areas such as: health, water and sanitation, education, training,  judicial reform, forestry, environment, micro-enterprises and agriculture;
    • Extensive knowledge of Latin America acquired through years of work, academic study, and, travel in the region;
    • Collaboration and consultation with diverse groups and cultures requiring highly adept Inter-cultural skills;
    • Familiarity with all levels of government, community organizations, bilateral and multilateral funding agencies, UN organizations, private sector and other civil society stakeholders;
    • Coaching and teaching in a work or academic environment;
    • Management of budgets ranging from $50,000 to $18 million.
