Peru
BDLS was contracted by a Canadian Charitable Foundation to plan, coordinate and implement economic growth projects and sustainable program activities in Manchay, Pachacámac, Peru. This work involved team building, consultation, communication and performance measurement of project activities, outcomes and program results with all partners, and stakeholders in Canada and Peru.
Colombia
Assisted one of Canada’s leading survey engineering firms to break into the South American market. Contributed strategic planning, partner identification, joint venture development and marketing support to position this company in Colombia and the region. Accessed CIDA INC funding to facilitate business expansion, and magnify social impact.
Ecuador
Over a period of six years, BDLS developed and maintained cooperative relationships with two Presidents of Ecuador (Borja and Duran) and various Ministers, particularly the Minister of Public Health with whom we designed and delivered a US$ 2.5M project based on the assembly and swap of US$ 5M of Ecuadorian foreign debt. Established (and for six years maintained) a corporate office in Quito to provide coordination and support to over 30 Canadian client companies active in a wide variety of industry sectors. Assisted client companies to identify and develop business opportunities as well as to access and administer Canadian International Development Agency Industrial Cooperation (CIDA INC) funding for viability assessment and subsequent project support.
Bolivia
Assisted a Canadian oilfield services firm to assemble an in-country bid support team to respond to a request for proposals from YPFB. Provided bid support team leadership, information and document coordination and proposal writing expertise. Provided strategy and briefing assistance in addition to bid submission follow-up with YPFB and liaison with the Bolivian bid support group.
Developed a strategy to assist a Bolivian Financial Institution with the scope and objective for the introduction of International financial strengthening opportunities. This included the framework/assignment for a country analysis of the effectiveness of current Mortgage and Housing Systems in the country.
